My son has been struggling to find a job. As an adult with autism, he's talented and hardworking, but the job market often overlooks people like him. It's frustrating to see employers focus on what he can't do instead of recognizing his unique skills. We've sent out so many applications, and the rejections are tough. It's hard to keep his spirits up when the doors keep closing. But I keep reminding him that there's a place for him out there, even if it's taking longer to find it. The system needs to change. Employers should be more open to hiring neurodivergent individuals. We're not giving up, though. We'll keep trying and advocating for a more inclusive job market. To other parents going through this, stay strong. Keep encouraging your child and don't give up on the search. Together, we can make a difference.
